India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) has been instrumental in promoting many a sector both at the global and international level. This eminent trade promotion entity has successfully staged 23 editions of India International Leather Fair, and is awaiting to host its forthcoming 24th edition scheduled to be held from 31st January to 3rd February 2009. The venue chosen is the state of the art Chennai Trade Centre, a leading trade fair hub in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The 23rd edition of the fair, i.e. IILF 2008 attracted 400 exhibitors including 139 overseas exhibiting companies from 22 countries namely Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Indonesia, Taiwan, The Netherlands, U.S.A., U.K, etc.
Over 16,000 visitors, 1,500 being foreign visitors thronged at the exhibition grounds of the Chennai Trade Centre, the exhibiting space covering 8450 sq. meters. The visiting countries included Austria, Brazil, China, Denmark, Eucador, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Greece, Haiti, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, USA, UK and more. Business to the tune of over US $ 130 million was generated at the fair. |
IILF 2008 will showcase an enthralling range of a wide variety of leather products and accessories. All the existing, latest and innovative leather goods will be displayed at the fair. These include shoes, shoe components, garments, belts, gloves, ancillary and auxiliary products, saddlery and harness, machinery, etc. The exhibition will be further enhanced with various features like theme pavilions, fashion shows, seminars, discussions, talk shows, social/cultural evenings, etc.With the showcase of the leather products and related machinery, the leather businessman can have a glimpse of the latest products and technological scenario in the industry.
